We all have our stories about this year, 2020.  The excitement coming into it for me was the opportunity to become a new business owner.  I had my first year plan in place, and was truly excited for this new adventure! As winter was moving toward spring the reality of having to close shop for a bit caused the brakes to be put on my enthusiasm, and to reframe the year with this abrupt and unrehearsed shift.

Navigating has been slow and steady. I was so glad to be able to get back to serving people through massage. With anxiety and stress at an all time high, being able to assuage the pressure with massage therapy has increased my love for the work I believe I have been called to do.

When I stepped into Columbia Mountain Massage to help Megan Upton, it was originally for a short season. When she asked me if I was interested in taking over the business it was a huge blessing. Through this next year I hope to incorporate some new body work, and hope to expand my approach in offering services that will encourage wellness.

The business name is changing to Vital Touch Massage Therapy. It is the name I came up with as I looked forward to what lay ahead for me in this industry.  Human touch is vital.  We learn this as children through hugs of comfort, affirmation, and love.  We learn it again as we become parents. We see its importance as family members age, and can once again need special care to navigate the golden years.

I work with my hands, however the work I choose to do comes from my heart. And it is with all my heart that I hope to be able to add to and bless every person that comes through my door for massage therapy.

I love to help people enjoy relief from pain and stress. It’s my heart’s desire to see clients leave feeling better. Graduating from the Massage Therapy Institute of Kalispell in 2017, I earned a certification and license in Massage Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy. Myself and my three children have called the beautiful Flathead Valley home for the last 20 years.
